Cultural Resource Management Services
WE PROVIDE CULTURAL RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SERVICES
The California Rock Art Foundation (CRAF) has been asked to take an active role in cultural resources management (CRM) consulting throughout California. Several board members are now working together with federal land management agencies to inventory, document, and evaluate the character of cultural resources in California. These services are also needed by private developers and other public agencies to comply with state and federal environmental and historic preservation laws.
In that regard, CRAF has been able to complete such services in a very cost effective manner assisting with the inventory, evaluation, protection, and cultural resource management recommendations relating to the California Environmental Quality Act and the National Historic Preservation Act and also to perform National Register of Historic Places nominations (when needed).
Please contact us if you require additional information or are in need of cultural resource management services throughout California that might involve Native American Heritage sacred sites, rock art, and traditional cultural properties. This new department has been engaged in successful consultations throughout California and is part of the CRAF outreach program to conserve and protect sensitive, non-renewable, culturally important heritage sites.
Our team currently has two active projects in the Mojave Desert and we have Registered Professional Archaeologists (RPA) and professional staff who are ready to provide additional consulting services and to perform contract work immediately.
